My name is Christina Iversen, and I’m a 20-year-old artist, creator, and dreamer based in Maryland.
Lavender Glass started the way most meaningful things do — quietly, at a table covered in beads, with nothing but an idea and a whole lot of heart.
I’ve always been drawn to the world of art. There’s something about creating something tangible with your own hands — something someone can hold, wear, or treasure — that feels unlike anything else. My ultimate dream is to work with stained glass: the way it catches light, the way colors shift and glow, the way a single piece can transform a space. It’s an art form that’s patient, deliberate, and breathtaking.
But every great journey starts somewhere. For me, it started with beaded jewelry.
Why Beads? Why Now?
Handmade beaded bracelets taught me everything I needed to know about crafting with intention. The process of selecting each bead — considering color, texture, weight, and meaning — isn’t so different from choosing glass pieces for a mosaic. It’s about composition, contrast, and telling a story without words.
Each bracelet I make is thoughtful. Whether it’s the soft aqua tones of a sea glass-inspired piece, the playful charm of a bee or strawberry design, or the quiet elegance of a simple beaded strand — every one of them is made by hand, with care, right here in Maryland.
The Name
Lavender Glass is exactly what it sounds like — soft, artistic, and a little dreamy. Lavender for the gentleness I put into every piece. Glass for where I’m headed.
It’s a brand built on a promise to myself: to never stop creating, to keep growing my craft, and to one day see my art in windows, walls, and galleries.
